Terms of Service
Last updated: July 23, 2026 · Draft, legal review before launch
1. Scope
These terms of service (AGB) apply to the use of the Small Steps app and the purchase of digital content in the app. The provider is ESBM-Solutions UG (haftungsbeschränkt) i. Gr., Ditfurthstraße 48, 33611 Bielefeld (see Imprint).
2. Service
Small Steps creates artistic renderings (“styles”) from a scan of your child's foot or hand print. Scanning and previewing all styles are free. Only the download costs money: a digital file (PNG and PDF in print quality) of the styles you selected. There is no subscription and there are no physical products.
3. Prices and payment
The price depends on the number of styles you select per print (from €2.99 for one style up to €15.99 for all seven; the price shown in the store is binding). Payment runs through your Apple or Google account under their terms.
4. Right of withdrawal
When you buy digital content, the right of withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht) expires if you expressly agree that we start performance before the withdrawal period ends and you confirm that you know you lose your right of withdrawal (§ 356 Abs. 5 BGB). Apart from that, refunds follow the rules of the respective store.
5. Rights of use
With the purchase you receive a non-exclusive right, unlimited in time (einfaches, zeitlich unbeschränktes Nutzungsrecht), to use the downloaded files for private purposes (for example printing, sharing with family). Commercial use is excluded.
6. Availability and warranty
Style creation uses AI image processing; for technical reasons there can be slight differences between the preview and the final file. The statutory warranty rights (gesetzliches Gewährleistungsrecht) apply. If you run into problems, support@esbm-solutions.com will help you.
7. Final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods; the statutory consumer protection rights of the country you live in remain unaffected.
Note: draft. Have a lawyer review this before the official launch; the withdrawal instructions (Widerrufsbelehrung) and the model withdrawal form (Muster-Widerrufsformular) are still missing.
